I got an ink from walmart today and when I opened at home,  I discovered that the ink wrapper was already teared, and I had to rush back to return it but unfortunately, Walmart did not collect it back because I had already opened the outer pack. What can I do in this instance? It is very painful to me.

You are welcome.

I am glad you were able to get the issue resolved.

Good Job.

I believe that people who misbehave make it all the more difficult for the rest of us.

Retails stores are targets for all kinds of mischief.

The store perhaps has a theft or other problem --

The store must either absorb the costs or pass along those losses to customers.

Return policies are meant to protect both customer and the store --

It can be complicated to navigate the right path.

Happy Printing.

I might not understand what you are asking.

True - Stores have return policies meant to protect both store and consumer.

When you find yourself on the wrong side of the policy, it does seem unfair.

Are you asking that HP make good on a presumably opened ink package you purchased at a retail store?

We don't speak for HP.

I don't know how deeply HP involves itself with private company retail sales outside of the  HP Store

If you asking what options you have in your region, it might depend on where you live -- that is, the country is large - local laws likely take precedence for issues involving return store policies and how involved the province can get.

I will send you question to our Moderators --

Should there be a response, look for a message here before the agent uses other means to contact you.

No, HP will not suddenly call your phone or text you.

Thanks so much for your response. I went back to the store today and I met someone who was patient enough to listen to my complaints. It was clear that the ink I bought had been opened before and was sealed up. I got my refund after we had back and forth. It was difficult situation as it was difficult to proof to them that I met it that way but I used a new one I bought to proof that they used gum to seal up the first one I bought. Thank you.
