Hi
This printer in the original post was bought in India and is now in the Seychelles. The printer originally came with HP805 cartridge, HP305 is available is Seychelles, which is in the EMEA region. How do we change the region setting to match the available cartridge? the cartridge HP305 has already been installed in the printer, but it shows incompatible cartridge.
thanks

You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work. HP's web page on the subject is here.

Hi @Gejo123,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges. I'd like to help!
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Yes" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping

Hi all
Thanks for the all response, sorry for not replying earlier. we were in the process of trying to reset the printer region, luckily we had not managed to do so, as we received 2 set of HP805 cartridge from India. We will attempt the reset in about 3-4 month, when the 2 set of cartridges are used up.
Regarding contacting HP support for the code, is it done by phone or through the support page?
