Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone on here can help me out. I’m having a problem with my printer. It’s a HP Laserjet 9050dn. I have installed new toner and fuser, and when I make a print out I get this. Does anybody know the cause and how to fix this? Thanks in advanceIMG_8127.JPG

Hi @Kal8530,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating printing issue! To better assist you, I'll need a bit more detail about what exactly is going wrong with the printouts from your HP LaserJet 9050dn. For instance, are there streaks, smudges, faint printing, or any specific error messages? Also, have you checked whether the issue persists when printing from different programs or files?

In the meantime, here are a few general troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check the Toner and Fuser Installation: Double-check that the new toner cartridge and fuser kit are properly installed. Ensure that no protective tape remains on the toner cartridge.

Quality Settings: Adjust the print quality settings through the printer menu or the printer properties in your computer's control panel. Sometimes setting it to a higher quality can resolve issues.

Printer Calibration and Alignment: Run the printer's calibration tool to ensure that the components are correctly aligned.

Driver Update: Verify that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with new hardware like toner and fusers.

Print a Test Page: Print a configuration page or a test page directly from the printer's control panel. This can help you determine if the issue is with the printer itself or something specific to your computer or software.

Inspect the Fuser: Since the fuser is responsible for bonding the toner to the paper, a defect in the fuser could cause issues. Ensure it's not damaged.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi, thanks for your input. How do I run the printer's calibration tool?

Thanks,
