Hi @David1487,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
You're halfway there since your HP ENVY 6055 can print the information/configuration page, which means the hardware is functional. If it prints blank pages for documents but not for the info/config page, the issue is usually software-related or with cartridge alignment/ink flow.
Step 1: Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only)
- Download here: Official HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows | Free Download hppsdr.exe
- Run the tool to auto-detect print and ink issues.
Step 2: Perform Ink Cartridge Cleaning
Even if the ink isn’t out and the heads “seem” clean:
- On the HP Smart app:
- Go to Printer Settings > Tools > Print Quality Tools
- Select Clean Printhead
- Or from the printer’s control panel: Press the Information + Resume (i + ❚❚) buttons simultaneously, then select cleaning.
Step 3: Check Ink Cartridges
- Remove and reinstall both black and tri-colour cartridges.
- Inspect for:
- Protective tape is still on the cartridge (if just installed)
- Clogged vents (use a pin to gently clear them if blocked)
- Try a different document to print — if it still prints blank, try black-only and colour-only documents to isolate the problem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
