HP Printer.  I replaced both cartridges.  Now, lines of print do not show up or else only half lines.  What to do?  I already cleaned the print heads.

@SCD46, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the print quality is not good. are you using HP ink cartridges?

Insert one ink cartridge at a time and try printing to identify the defective ink cartridge.

Try making a standalone copy in black and color from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Clean the ink cartridges up to 2 times and print a test page to check the result.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

If you have any alternate ink cartridges that are working fine, it means the ink cartridge is defective and can be replaced by HP.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
