Hi @Pearsonboat,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble printing your document on the HP OfficeJet 8120e series.

To help narrow this down, could you please let us know:

  • Does this happen with all documents or only one specific file?
  • Are you printing from a Windows PC, Mac, phone, or tablet?
  • Does Print Preview also show only part of the first page, or does the issue occur only after you press Print?

In the meantime, please try these quick checks:

  1. Open the document and select Print Preview before printing.
  2. Make sure Paper Size is set correctly (for example, Letter or A4).
  3. Check that Scale/Fit to Page is selected and that no custom zoom setting is applied.
  4. Try printing a different document, such as a simple Word document or PDF, to see if the behavior is the same.
  5. Restart the printer and the computer, then try again.

If the left side of the print window is already showing only part of the first page before printing, the issue is likely with the application, document, or print settings rather than the printer itself.

Please let us know what device and application you're printing from (Adobe Reader, Word, browser, etc.), and we'll be happy to assist further.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
