TL:DR These hp printers seem to all be broken.
I purchased a Officejet Pro 9018e 23 months ago(printer #1). The printer was broken and printed horribly with lines on it. HP sent me a replacement 9018e that worked fine until now(printer #2). The small white gear broke causing the printhead to lock in place. HP Mailed me a replacement 9015e(printer #3) that had a broken scanner paper jam door hinge, completely snapped. So they mailed me 4th printer another 9015e(printer #4). I was required to transfer the printhead/cartridge carriage from printer #3 to #4 for some reason. Well printer #4 has white horizontal white lines evenly spaced across it approximately every inch when you print photos just like printer #1. I've already tried running all the printhead cleaning level 1, 2, &3. It does nothing to fix it. I did the clean smear print tool as well.
Anything else I can try? Is HP going to ship me a 5th broken printer, this is getting ridiculous? I'm getting sick of lugging printers around and not being able to print.
Clearly HP isn't doing a good job refurbishing these replacement printers. They are definitely refurbished because printer #4 shows 43 pages in the "Total engine page count" but I have only printed 23 pages in the Total pages printed count. Maybe there's a good reason someone printed 20 pages and then returned this broken printer? and clearly HP didn't refurbish and fix the problem? or maybe the printhead from printer #3 I'm using is bad? I know the printhead from printer #2 is fine, but I can't extract it from the printer without deconstructing the entire thing to free it from it's cheap plastic tomb. Oh and I can't even post on this forum without manually entering my product name, because the serial # on the "new" printer #4 says it's invalid when I try to add it to my account.
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
