i bought this printer in an online store last week and it just arrived. However when i print something it always produce this "white streaks" thing and i really don't know what's wrong. The shop told me to do the cleaning and calibrating procedure in the driver but its still like this even though i've done it like 5 times already, can anyone help me? Is it because its jammed or something to do with the printhead?

I understand you are facing an issue with your new printer having print quality issues. Not to worry I will help you to resolve the issue.

Please follow the below steps to make a color copy of an image to confirm if the hardware is working fine.

 

  • Load paper in the input tray.
  • Load the original print side of the image down on the scanner glass.
  • Press the Color Copy button to make a copy.
    If you find the same issue even with the copy standalone.

I already contacted the seller and they advised me to open the printer to identify the issue, it turns out the courier did not take good care in delivering the package and spilled the ink into the internal compartments of the printer, which results in the ink blocking the mechanism of it. I tried to clean the ink and it did help but its still jammed and still produce white streaks (although not as bad as before).

 

In the end the store just told me to do a refund because it seems the careless delivering process has broke some of the mechanism making it tricky to troubleshoot it myself and i don't want to damage it further. Its because of the poor delivery process and not the printer itself, i got my money back and its all good now! 😁
