Why am I constantly running out of black ink

Hey guys so I'm on here because I honestly can't get a hold of an actual person through HP for some reason. But I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out why I'm running out of black ink so quickly. I only have printed some recipes and some pages for my kids to color and just some random things like that. But honestly I've maybe only printed about 200 pages at the most and the last 50 or so had already started to not print correctly. Plus sometimes my printer will like me up and reprint on the same line but just slightly off centered so then the rest of the page is like double and all messed up. And it only does that when I start getting low on black ink. I've never ran out of colored ink only black and the last 2 or 3 times it was the same thing and I had only printed a few hundred pages. I've had this printer for a few years and I've really liked, but this is crazy to pay this much every month and only get a few hundred pages a year. But if anyone knows why this is happening and our if there is a way to fix it then that would be great. But if not, then I'd like to know that too so I can look for a different printer so that I can actually use it like I want to. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks 😊
