Why can't I print in black and white without color cartridges?

Printer wont print in black and white without color cartridges installed. Is that the way the product works or is it just me. If it is the way it works, anyone want the printer ?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you wanted to know if your printer can print only in black without color cartridges.

As it is a color printer, all the color cartridges (black and color) should be installed to print.

If you want to print only in black, then I suggest that you purchase a monochrome LaserJet printer which uses only one black cartridge.
