I have a HP 8600. I have internet connection, paper and ink. The printer receives the documents but shoots out blank pages. Help.

Hi @Joyce816,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 8600 is printing blank pages despite having paper and ink, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are not empty. Even if they appear to be full, they might still need to be replaced.

Inspect Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges. Ensure that they are properly seated and that the protective tape has been removed.
  • Check the ink nozzles and clean them if they appear clogged. Most HP printers have a built-in cleaning function in the printer settings.

Check for Printhead Issues:

  • The printhead might be clogged or malfunctioning. Try running the printhead cleaning utility from the printer's control panel or software.

Paper Path Check:

  • Make sure there is no paper jam or debris in the paper path.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause printing issues. Download the latest drivers from HP’s website and reinstall them.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer is set to print in color if you’re trying to print color documents. Sometimes settings can be configured to print in black and white even if the ink cartridges are full.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Print a test page directly from the printer’s control panel to see if it prints correctly. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or the computer connection.

Reset Printer:

  • Try resetting the printer to its factory settings to resolve any configuration issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
