Why does my printer run out of color ink when almost never used?

I bought my printer 1 week ago and have only printed in black and white + little bit of red (red was only used in one page).

Now it says that my color cartridge is basically out it can no longer print red, it prints yellow instead.

Estimated supply levels show color as being very low and almost empty and back, little bit more than half.

The machine also have an orange light showing on the color ink next to the LCD panel.

This is not normal right, and what can i do about it?

Everything worked fine for 2 full page prints in 98% black (very little red on one page), then a few prints with only text in black. Then one day the low color ink appeared and all prints look very wrong when there is color. For example yellow replaces red etc.

I just tried to print a color picture and it just comes out black and yellow.

So apparently yellow replaces everything that is not pure black, so it replaces grey and all other colors.

EDIT:

I have run printhead cleaning 4 times (first level and second level, both twice) and the issue remains, only yellow and black colors when printing.
