Why is it so hard to find an HP 68 series ink cartridges?

I’m based in the PH and bought an HP Envy 6555e printer from Amazon. I should have checked the ink availability in my country in advance but even in Amazon US, there’s not much option for ink and it’s only compatible with the 68 series. So expensive, too! I love the item. The ink is just a nightmare.
