HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer

I've just changed the black and colour ink cartridges and now it's not printing in black at all and the colour is really pale!

I've realigned the pages and cleaned the heads 3 times.  Any ideas?

Hi @Westie775

Welcome to the HP support community.

It sounds like you're having a frustrating time with your HP ENVY 6032e. Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the black and color printing issues:

1. Check Cartridge Installation

  • Ensure that both cartridges are installed correctly and securely. Remove them and reinsert them to confirm.

2. Inspect Cartridges for Damage

  • Check the black cartridge for any visible damage or dried ink. If it looks dried out or damaged, you may need to replace it.

3. Clean the Printhead

  • Use the printer's built-in printhead cleaning utility, which you've already done. Sometimes multiple cleanings are needed, so consider doing another one.

4. Perform a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

  • Print a diagnostic page to check the print quality. This can help you identify if the issue is with the cartridges or the printer itself.
    • You can usually do this through the printer's settings menu.

5. Check Ink Levels

  • Ensure that the ink levels are adequate for both cartridges. Sometimes, new cartridges can be defective or not filled properly.

6. Update Printer Firmware

  • Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website. click HERE

7. Use HP Smart App for Troubleshooting

  • If you have the HP Smart app, use it to run diagnostics and follow any recommended steps.

8. Try Printing from Different Applications

  • Attempt to print from different applications (e.g., Word, Notepad) to see if the issue is specific to one program.

9. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset internal settings.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
