My office jet x576dw is having issues printing magenta in the left most 20% of the page. I have inspected the cartridges for debris, but everything looks okay. I have run level 1 print head cleaning, but it appears to have had no effect. Any thoughts about what this could be or what I could do about it?

My local HP rep told me this is common and the repair costs as much as a new unit. Very frustrating. I'm at about 1/10 the manufacture's lifespan on page count. I'm headed to try Canon next, after this experience with a $1500 printer.
