Hi @DrBala ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are HP Ink Tank 319 Printer is not printing yellow even though the yellow ink tank is filled, there could be several reasons for this issue.

Here's a troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem:

  • Check Ink Levels: Even though the tank is filled, it's possible that there's an issue with the ink delivery system. Check the ink levels through the printer software or control panel to ensure that the yellow ink tank is not empty or low.
  • Clean Printhead: Sometimes, the printhead may get clogged with dried ink or debris, preventing the ink from flowing properly. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the printhead. You can usually find this option in the printer settings or maintenance menu. Run the printhead cleaning utility to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Perform Manual Printhead Cleaning: If the automatic printhead cleaning doesn't work, you can try manually cleaning the printhead. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this properly. Typically, it involves removing the printhead and gently cleaning it with a soft cloth or cotton swab dipped in distilled water or a specific printhead cleaning solution.
  • Check Print Settings: Make sure that the print settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, the printer settings may be set to grayscale or black-and-white printing, which can prevent the printer from using the yellow ink. Adjust the settings to ensure that color printing is enabled.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupt printer drivers can also cause printing issues. Make sure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer model. You can usually download the drivers from the HP website or use Windows Update to check for driver updates.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes, firmware updates can address compatibility issues or bugs that may affect printer performance. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer and install them if necessary.
  • Replace Ink Cartridge: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the yellow ink cartridge is defective or empty, even though it appears to be filled. Try replacing the yellow ink cartridge with a new one and see if that solves the problem.
