Product: HP OfficeJet 6958 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

My Officejet 6958 is old. My income is below poverty level. I used to purchased affordable non-HP printer cartridges. There was a setting in preferences that allowed me to turn off the proprietary setting which disallows the use of non-HP ink. After upgrading my Mac OS, I downloaded a new driver for my printer. Now I can’t use $50 worth of cartridges and I can’t find a setting that would allow their use. I accept responsibility for damages which may occur with cartridges without the HP chip. Solution?
