Whenever i buy and install HP ink, I always get a message that says one or more cartiridges is damaged or missing.   today, it is the black in.  Have tried unplugging it.  Had the system diagnois the problem, it says it is damaged or missing.

This could be an issue with the ink cartridge or the printer ink system.

 

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

I finally called Staples, and they said they would replace the ink.  It still took a couple of times of putting it in and out.  I wiped off the connection with a lint free rag.  Finallly, it worked. 

 

Why in the world would every time putting ink in be so hard?  I used the "chat" and they kept giving me the same response.  If my printer is out of warranty it costs to talk to someone.  Technology is the most expesinve trash!  This is very frustrating.
