Product: HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer

I purchase the ink from amazon for cost reasons. Today HP sent me an email indicating " your last chance to replace the current cartridge with Original HP ink before you lose access to HP+ benefits"  am I obligated to purchase cartridges from them if i own an HP printer?

I do not have an instant ink printer. My understanding is that if you run out of ink, or cancel your subscription, you can use genuine Hewlett Packard cartridges either original or refilled.  They must have an HP chip in the cartridge.

 

While HP Instant Ink printers can be used with no subscription, select HP Plus "+"  printers may require a subscription to operate.
