Hi there, am using a 2019 HP LaserJet Pro M118dw, with a new HP cartridge CF294A black toner cartridge from early 2023 with an estimated life of 1,200 pages. It is at 349 pages printed now and is showing "low" and the bar chart shows it as essentially empty. The drum is a CF232A with a total of 1,059 pages printed on it. I print black and white and grayscale text - am not printing pictures or heavy-toner or heavy-coverage pages, usually have the various "toner saver" or "eco-saver" features on, either from the printer or from windows or HP smart or wherever they appear. Stats pasted below.
How to go about having this cartridge replaced, please? Pretty expensive OEM stuff for it to not work! Thank you.

Does the printer still print with good quality?
Something went wrong and the data stored in the printer chip got messes up resulting toner low message when the actual toner level is not low for sure.
You will hardly get a new replacement toner for a cartridge used since 2023.

Printer prints fine, with no visible issues with quality at all. Prints light text, prints dark text, no issues with the actual printing on the paper. Tx for the intel on the chip in the printer possibly being wrong - if that's the case, fine, and will therefore plan to enjoy it until it starts streaking.
Are you suggesting, though, that HP won't replace the cartridge since it has not been used excessively since 2023? Am hoping that is not the case, and that they stand by the unit and its OEM parts.
Thank you again - this is helpful information regardless of the eventual outcome!
