Hi @dev1002
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble with the black ink on your HP Ink Tank 319, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Ink Levels:
- Make sure that the black ink tank is filled. Sometimes, even if it looks full, air bubbles can interfere with the ink flow.
Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Access the printer settings from your computer or the printer's control panel. Look for a maintenance or tools option to run a print head cleaning cycle.
Perform a Test Print:
- Print a test page or a nozzle check pattern to see if the black ink is coming out properly. This can help identify if the problem is with the ink flow.
Check for Blockages:
- Inspect the printhead for any clogs or blockages. You may need to remove the printhead (if applicable) and clean it with a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab moistened with distilled water.
Use Genuine HP Ink:
- Ensure that you're using genuine HP ink. Third-party or refilled ink can sometimes cause issues.
Check Printer Settings:
- Make sure your print settings are configured to print in color or black and white, depending on your needs. Sometimes, settings can default to grayscale or draft mode, which can affect print quality.
Update Drivers:
- Check for any available driver updates for your printer. Outdated drivers can lead to printing issues.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
