Black ink won't print.  I've done a cleaning and 4 colors print  in rectangles,  but no black,.

Hi@KathrynDay,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing printing issues with the HP Printer not printing Black. I apologize for the Inconvenience.

I have a few recommendations

  • To resolve this issue, use only genuine HP cartridges. Additionally, you can remove the black cartridge to print only with the tri-color cartridge, replace any empty or defective cartridges, or clean the printhead.
  • Check if the vents of the cartridges are clogged. You can fix this by gently using a pin to clean up the clog on the vent.
  • Try using a different ink cartridge to determine if your printer is able to recognize cartridges.
  • Click this link if The printer is working, but the printed output is missing black https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-2510-all-in-one-printer-series/5157438/document/c043...

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
