Hi @KCL8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2820e All-in-One Printer is printing blurry black text even after several cleaning cycles. Here are some steps you can take to further troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check Ink Levels
    • Low ink can cause poor print quality. Use the HP Smart app or printer control panel to check ink levels.

  2. Align the Printhead
    • Misalignment can cause blurry prints.
    • You can align the printhead using the HP Smart app or from the printer settings menu.

  3. Use the HP Print Quality Diagnostic Page
    • Print a diagnostic page to identify print quality issues.
    • This can help determine if the problem is with the black cartridge or the printhead.

  4. Clean the Printhead Manually
    • If automatic cleaning didn’t help, you may need to clean the printhead manually.
    • Follow HP’s guide carefully to avoid damage.

  5. Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges
    • Non-HP or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause print quality issues.

  6. Try a Different Paper Type
    • Low-quality or incompatible paper can cause ink to bleed or blur.

Did all of the cleaning steps, also manually. Didn't work. Contacted HP and got new cartridge.

Thanks for suggestions.
