Hi @Frank0728,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Use Original HP Ink Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges as third-party cartridges can sometimes cause print quality issues.
Check Estimated Ink Levels: Verify the ink levels. If cartridges are low, consider replacing them. You can check the ink levels through the printer software or the printer control panel:
From Printer Control Panel: On the home screen, touch the ink icon to view estimated ink levels.
From Printer Software (Windows): Open the HP printer software and click on "Estimated Ink Levels".
Paper Quality: Make sure you are using high-quality HP paper or papers that adhere to the ColorLok® standard to ensure the best print quality.
Align Ink Cartridges: Align the ink cartridges to ensure high-quality output. You can do this from the printer software or directly from the printer display:
- From Printer Control Panel: Load Letter or A4 plain paper, touch Setup, and then touch Align Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Clean Ink Cartridges: If the diagnostic page reveals streaks or missing portions of the text, clean the ink cartridges automatically.
- From Printer Control Panel: Load Letter or A4 plain paper, touch Setup, and then touch Clean Cartridges and follow the on-screen instructions.
Print a Diagnostic Page: If the cartridges are not low on ink, print a diagnostic page to determine if there are any hardware issues with the cartridges.
Check for Updates: Ensure your printer firmware is updated. You can check for updates through the HP website or the printer software.
I hope this helps.
