Office jet 6958

It's impossible to purchase colored ink 902 for office jet 6958 and you can't print without colored ink even if you have black ink.  Is there a way to change that?  Are customers going to be forced to purchase new printers since there is no supply?

HP OfficeJet Printers - 'Incompatible' or 'Defective Cartridge' message

This document applies only to these HP Officejet and Officejet Pro printers that use HP 910, 912, 914, 915, 902-905, or HP 935 ink cartridges:

  • HP Officejet 6810, 6820, 6950, 6960, and 8010 printer series
  • HP OfficeJet Pro 6230, 6830, 6960, 6970, 8020, and 8030 printer series

I also cannot find ink and will soon be dead in the water.  HP is an awful company to deal with and you can't even get through to a human being unless your machine is still under warranty.  Has anyone had luck using after market non-HP ink cartridges?

Hi.  I'm not getting an incompatible message.  I cannot use my printer since I can't purchase colored ink.  I recently purchased the XL 902 in black thinking at least I could print using no colored ink but alas, HP doesn't allow that on this printer.

 

If this continues, I'll be forced to purchase a new printer (even though my works perfectly) because i can't print in black and there is a shortage of colored ink.

I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region to purchase ink cartridges.

 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
