Hi @MOPINEDA3

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing the printer screen. That message means the printer has detected an issue with one of the ink cartridges—either it's not seated properly, not recognized, or there's a contact issue. Here's how to resolve it:

Step-by-step guidance to clear the ink cartridge error:

  1. Power on the printer and lift the ink cartridge access door until it locks into place.
  2. Wait until the carriage stops moving.
  3. Identify the cartridge with the issue—it may be marked with a blinking light or shown on the display.
  4. Gently press down on the indicated cartridge to release it, then pull it out.
  5. Inspect the cartridge:
    • Check for any protective tape still covering the copper contacts or ink nozzles.
    • Make sure there’s no ink buildup or debris.
  6. Reinsert the cartridge:
    • Slide it into the correct slot until it clicks firmly into place.
    • Ensure it’s aligned and not tilted.
  7. Close the access door and touch “OK” on the screen.

If the error persists:

  • Try removing and reinstalling all cartridges, not just the one indicated.
  • Restart the printer after reseating.
  • If using refilled or non-HP cartridges, they may not be recognized reliably.

Let me know if you'd like help checking cartridge compatibility or cleaning the contacts safely.
