I installed a new HP black ink cartridge into my HP DESKJET 3752 model as I have always done. Yet, there has been an orange light blinking & I cannot print anything for almost 2 months. I have never had this issue before.

@AD90210, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Cartridge Malfunction on HP Deskjet 3752!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

A blinking orange light on your HP Deskjet 3752 printer typically indicates an issue with the installed ink cartridges. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this issue:

1. Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Make sure the ink cartridge is properly installed. Open the printer's access door and reseat the black ink cartridge by pushing it in until it clicks into place.

2. Inspect the Cartridge:

  • Turn off the printer and remove the black ink cartridge.
  • Carefully inspect it for any protective tape or packaging that might not have been removed.
  • Ensure that there is no debris or obstructions blocking the cartridge contacts.

3. Clean the Contacts:

  • With the printer off, gently clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridge and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth dampened slightly with distilled water.
  • Allow the contacts to dry before reinstalling the cartridge.

4. Try a Different Cartridge:

  • If possible, use another cartridge to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the cartridge itself.

5. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about a minute.
  • Plug it back in and turn on the printer to see if the issue resolves.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
