Hi, I've now reloaded the ink 2x, cleaned the print heads multiple x, and the red ink is very faint, and the blue looks like a block of black when clean print heads and doesn't show when printing. I've already replaced cartridges - advice?

Hi @gigi771
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Here’s a quick troubleshooting guide to address these issues:
1. Check Ink Cartridge Installation
- Ensure the new ink cartridges are correctly installed and properly seated in their slots.
- Double-check that you're using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with your printer.
2. Run the Print Head Cleaning Again
- Run a deep clean of the print heads. This can often help clear any clogs that normal cleaning doesn't fix.
- Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners > select your printer > Manage > Printer Properties > Maintenance > Clean Printheads.
- Run the cleaning process 2–3 times if necessary.
3. Print Quality Diagnostic Report
- Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report to check the status of the individual colors.
- From the printer’s control panel: Go to Setup > Tools > Print Quality Report.
- This can help identify if one of the print heads is still clogged or if the ink is not being properly applied.
4. Check for Ink Smears or Leaks
- Inspect the ink cartridges for leaks or smears. If ink is leaking out of a cartridge, it might affect the print quality. Replace any damaged cartridges.
5. Check the Ink Level
- Verify the ink levels using either the printer’s display panel or via the HP Smart app on your computer. Sometimes, a cartridge may show full but still be faulty.
6. Perform a Printer Reset
- Reset the printer to clear any software issues that may be affecting print quality.
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
7. Ensure the Printer’s Firmware is Updated
- Outdated firmware can cause print quality issues. Check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or on the HP website.
8. Test Print with Different Software
- Try printing from a different program (e.g., print from a web browser or Microsoft Word) to rule out software issues.
9. Replace the Printhead (if necessary)
- If none of the above works, the printhead itself might be clogged or damaged. In some HP printers, the printhead is replaceable. You can check with HP Support if you need to order a new one.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
