After 6 months of Printer Offline problems, I finally got it to where it prints again (at least for the moment) BUT it no longer prints color. I hope I can get THIS problem fixed in less than 6 months.

Do you get color print when you print a supplies status page? If yes then the most common cause is your printer driver not detecting that you have a color printer and the fix is easy.

On your PC

go to control panel>devices and printers and right click on the icon for your printer and select printer properties from the drop down menu. Click the device settings tab and scroll down till you see device type and change it to color.

Hello! I'm having the same issue as above but when following the steps to fix the issue as provided above I do not have the option in device settings to change "Device Type" to Color. All I have in device settings under printer properties is "Form To Tray Assignment" and "Installable options." However, I am not getting any color when I print, not when aligning or cleaning print heads. I've had this issue in the past and an HP support person fixed it remotely but apparently "this feature is not available at this time." This started after I installed NEW GENUINE HP cartridges yesterday and installed them.

UPDATE: a faint yellow streak appeared on when I cleaned the print heads but has since disappeared on the next level of cleaning.
