HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer

I purchased an HP 61XL tri color ink cartridge from Amazon.  It will not work., says incompitable.  I noticed the writing on the package is chinese.  Is there anything I can do to use this ink cartridge?

If your HP 61XL tri-color ink cartridge is showing as incompatible and the packaging appears to be in Chinese, it’s likely that you received a counterfeit or regional version of the cartridge. Here are some steps you can take:

Verify Compatibility:

  • Check the packaging and cartridge itself for the HP logo and any indication that it is a genuine product. Sometimes, counterfeit cartridges can look similar but have subtle differences.

Check Expiration Date:

  • Make sure the cartridge has not expired. An expired cartridge may not function correctly.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Gently clean the copper contacts on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth. Sometimes dirt or residue can cause compatibility issues.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can sometimes reset the error message.

Reinstall the Cartridge:

  • Remove the cartridge and reinstall it, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

Return the Cartridge:

  • If the cartridge still does not work, consider returning it to the seller on Amazon for a refund or exchange. Make sure to report that it is incompatible.
