Yes, I know. It was a thing to do but I bought a set of compatible cartridges rather than originals. Haven't done this for a long while but, in a vain attempt to save a few quid, I thought that I would go for it.

I'd actually already replaced the black, magenta and yellow and they have been working fine for several weeks. Then the time came to replace the cyan and that's when the problems started! Inserted this compatible cartridge and my printer didn't like the chip and blocked it. I have since bought a new HP original cyan cartridge and having put this in the machine it still won't print any blue ink. I have run all three levels of print head cleaning. It won't do an alignment check as, when I try to print the alignment sheet there is no cyan on there and so it won't scan.

Apart from throwing the entire thing in the skip, I've run out of ideas. I'm rather hoping that someone can help me out PLEASE!

Thanks for reading. Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Ron.

Hi @RonD,

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are facing issues with the Cyan cartridge. I'd like to help!

Well, you may have to use Hp genuine ink cartridges ( all other colors/black) along with the HP cyan cartridge. That should fix the issue.

However, you may also refer to the document here for your reference.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted.
