i bought comptiable 950xl cartridges for my HP officejet 8710 printer. the printer do not recognize the ink level

and prevents me from printing. I was using another comptiable 950xl cartridges and it works fine.

else  where i read that the latest firmware is to blame, and i need to doengrade it to pervious version.

where i can find it and how i can install it.

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your compatible 950XL cartridges. Non-genuine cartridges might indeed encounter compatibility issues, especially after firmware updates that restrict or modify their use. However, downgrading the firmware is generally not recommended due to potential risks and warranty considerations. Instead, it’s advisable to try the following steps:

 

Check for Genuine Supplies: If possible, switch back to genuine HP ink cartridges, as they guarantee the best performance and compatibility with HP printers.
 

Firmware Updates: Make sure the firmware is up to date, as sometimes newer firmware versions provide more stability with compatible cartridges. You can check for updates directly from your printer's control panel or by visiting the Official HP® Support
