HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 won't print in the color Cyan. I've tried all the maintenance, on-line tips, cleaned heads with soft cloth,  installed another new Cyan cartridge, uplugged power. Do you have any suggestions?

No I am still having a problem. But I learned a lot from your help. For instance, there is a computer chip in HP cartridges that lets the computer and HP know if you are not using their product. I think I have exhausted all the solutions. My OfficeJet Pro 8028 is two years old and cost a hefty price. My next step is to find a printer repair place near me and ask what they charge just to take a look.  The 910 cartridges I have are worth $100 so I am leaning toward buying a new printer but it would have to be the 8000 series to use my 910 cartridges.

It was interesting to read the info people have posted here and I will save this forum to my favorites.

Thanks for your help and thanks for following up.

Hi @IreneVaughn1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing cyan printing issues with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 All-In-One Printer.

I have a few recommendations

  • Mostly the printhead may have gone bad or the cyan cartridge is not good. If the old cyan cartridge has ink and still doesn't print then it's probably not the cartridges.
  • This link should help with streaked or faded printouts, color or black ink not printing, documents with blurred or fuzzy text, ink streaks or smears, and other print quality problems. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
