how do I disable  cartridge protection on my 4222e printer please?

If you are seeking to use 3rd party toner, keep in mind the following from the HP Specs for this product. You can use 3rd party and refilled as long as they use new or reused HP electronics.

3rd party cartridges that do not use HP circuitry are not supported, even if you could turn off cartridge protection.
