I’m trying to load an ink cartridge and the printer is telling me to enroll in Instant Ink, before i can use the cartridge. I called HP and unenrolled in that program a long time ago. I’ve been installing new ink cartridges since, without a problem. What’s new?

Please read this post and then provide some details. What printer model? What is the cartridge number? Is the cartridge an HP or a third party?
If the cartridge is an HP Instant Ink cartridge (or a refilled third-party cartridge that was originally an HP Instant Ink cartridge) it can only be used if the printer has a current enrollment in the HP Instant Ink program.
