The printing function works fine, I can print files from the computer. I can even Scan and save images from the printer. What I cannot do is photocopy. Yesterday morning it was fine. Then I static shocked my finger as I pressed the green print/copy button. It errored, a little green circle light started blinking and it beeps at me when I try to photocopy. The green circle is next to the exclamation triangle... Which is not on or blinking BTW.
We tried restarting. No change.
We tried unplugging it totally for a few minutes. No change.
I left the darn thing unplugged overnight. No change this morning.
it will not photocopy. Not from the document feeder, or directly from the scan plate. But the scanner works fine and I can print documents from the computer. What gives??

@PSEstamps, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Since the scanning works, it cannot be an issue with the scanner mechanism, but the copy button does not initiate copying.
This looks like a hardware issue.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps!
