M402dw laser printer - about 6 or 7 years old - little used - has started to show horizontal lines on the right side of the printout - starts about at the centre of the page and runs to the right edge - quite feint on print with little content but heavier when a full background
original toner cartridge with about 50% capacity left - actual print count about 1800
spacing on lines 28mm approx - if its coming from a roller that suggests roller is 9mm dia
have searched for info and suggestions are toner cartridge or fuser - looking at photos and images - rollers in fuser seem larger than 9mm and there is a post on here suggesting spacing would be over 55mm if it was the fuser
i have found some info that refers to a pcr roller in the toner cartridge and looking at photos that looks to be about 9 or 10mm dia
not happy that i have nearly 50% toner left if i have to scrap the cartridge but if that cures the problem then so be it - if its the fuser is as cheap to buy a 4002dw
any thoughts or insight appreciated
thanks

thanks - so the pcr roller then? - i can see how this can be replaced fairly easily but are they available at a reasonable cost in the UK
loathed to use a 3rd party toner cartridge but at the cost and the fact a genuine one has failed with 50% of its toner not used does not speak well of the HP one

adding to my info above - i have looked at the pcr [roller] - it is in fact faulty - there is a bubble on it - easy to get to and change - are these available as a spare in the UK - seen them in India and the likes but cannot find one here
as an idea so as not to use non genuine toner/cartridge - would a roller from a cheap non oem cartridge work - full [rubbish] cartridges are available for a few pounds here
