Hi @music4kids2play,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2755e All-In-One Printer has a low-color cartridge but you want to print in black, you can follow these steps.

  1. Open the document or file you want to print on your computer.
  2. Click on the "Print" option in the software or application you are using to open the document.
  3. In the print settings or print dialog box, locate the "Preferences" or "Properties" button. Click on it to access the printer settings.
  4. Look for an option called "Print in Grayscale" or "Black and White Printing." Select this option to instruct the printer to print using only the black ink cartridge.
  5. Review the settings to ensure that the "Color" or "Color Mode" option is set to "Off" or "Black Only."
  6. Adjust any other desired print settings, such as paper size or quality, according to your preferences.
  7. Once you have finished adjusting the settings, click "Print" or "OK" to start the printing process.

By selecting the "Print in Grayscale" or "Black and White Printing" option, your printer should use only the black ink cartridge, even if the color cartridge is low or empty. However, keep in mind that some printers may require the presence of both ink cartridges to function correctly, so results may vary depending on your specific printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
