HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 all-in-one printer
I purchased cartridges from HP. The cyan cartridge installs fine. The Yellow cartridge throws the error: One or more cartridges appears to be missing or damaged
- I go through the virtual agent answering the questions. When I get to the 935 cartridges I get sent to Support site.
- On the support page, the instructions tell me to get the date off the box or the cartridge. Well, the cartridges are installed, so I use the box info - I input "Nov 2021" and "Malaysia".
- The page pushes back with an error telling me that the date format is incorrect!
Interesting, I put in what was on the box!!! If it's not formatted correctly maybe the box should provide the right format to begin with! - I do the unplug thing. Wait 60 seconds... so I wait 10 minutes (600 seconds). Plug it back in. Same error message.
I would feel less inclined to complain if it wasn't that this issue arises when I need to print something out and the quality of the old cartridge is clearly not good. So, install the new ones and get the error. Alright, I try to revert by putting the old cartridge back in.
The old cartridge was identifiable by the printer before I tried installing a new one. Not anymore!!!, it throws the error too!
Now I'm completely shutdown. I can't print.
As of now, I'm not a happy customer. It seems like every 6-12 months this sort of thing happens. I'm getting pretty tired of dealing with it.
