Product: Hp Smart tank plus 550 series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Does anyone know how to perform a print head clean on the HP smart tank 550 printer. I´ve looked in the print doctor app but it seems useless. The manual mentions cleaning in the maintenance tab but I have no such tab in the HP software.  I´ve done on line searches but have found nothing so far. 

any help would be appiciated

Tearing my hair out with this printer. Only been in 6 months and its the most unreliable and unhelpful item on my network.. Refuses to print and the icons are unhelpful and meaning less. There's no info inside the printer on what to do to get to the print heads. Plenty of ink - no need to change or renew - error messages useless - 'Smart' App says Ready to Print but printer says it has a problem. Click on any of the 'so useful' Help options offered and you're in for another hour wasted getting nowhere. DO NOT click the 'Can I Help' robotic option... it isn't very smart. How to clean? Why to clean IT's NEW! Having to go between the PC (W10) and the printer for every check needed defeats the entire object of remote WiFi printer. Going round in circles between PC 'Help' responses and printer blinking with no message. WiFi is fine. Is this the new HP Dumb Tank? Not cheap either for being so frustratingly dumb. IMHO.

Can’t help but you’re not alone. I can’t even find anything about cleaning the print head after hours of installing useless apps and software.
