4100 hp printer quit printing after changing both cartridges Tried hard restart, press both cancel and power button. I've tried everything, I think. Restore back to factory settings too.

It seems like you've tried quite a few troubleshooting steps already. Let's go through a few more things you can try to get your HP DeskJet 4158e printer working again:

 

Check the Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the new cartridges are installed correctly and that there are no protective strips or plastic covers still attached.
  • Ensure the cartridges are seated firmly and have been recognized by the printer.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the Device Manager on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Locate your printer under "Printers" and right-click to select Update driver. Alternatively, you can uninstall the device and reinstall it using the latest drivers from the HP website.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Double-check the paper path for any obstructions that may be preventing the printer from printing.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers on your computer.
  • Right-click your printer and select See what's printing. Ensure there are no pending print jobs that are stuck.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the official HP website. It can help diagnose and fix printing issues.

Network Connection (If using Wi-Fi):

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. You can check this on the printer’s display or through the printer settings on your computer.
