Hi @mshaked12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Officejet Pro 6830 is printing yellow instead of red, it could be due to a few reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges, especially the red (magenta) cartridge, are not low or empty. You can check the ink levels from the printer's control panel or HP Smart app.

Clean Printhead: Sometimes, clogged nozzles can cause color printing issues. You can clean the printhead using the following steps:

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the cleaning process. You may need to run the cleaning cycle more than once.

Print a Test Page: Print a quality diagnostic page to see if all colors are printing correctly. This can help identify if the problem is with a specific color:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report.

Align Printheads: If the printheads are misaligned, it can affect print quality. You can align them through the printer settings:

  • Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printheads.

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can do this via the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Replace Ink Cartridges: If the issue persists, consider replacing the magenta ink cartridge, as it may be defective even if it appears full.

Perform a Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. This may resolve any software-related issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
