Hi @Guyvee,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is not printing blue ink despite thorough cleaning and cartridge replacement, try these additional steps to troubleshoot.
Check Printer Alignment:
- Sometimes alignment issues can affect color output. From the printer’s control panel, navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printer and complete the alignment process.
Run an Ink Cartridge Test:
- Print a diagnostics page by going to Printer Maintenance > Print Quality Report. This will show you if the blue (cyan) ink is being properly recognized and dispensed by the printhead.
Check Print Settings:
- In Printer Properties on your Windows 11 device, make sure the settings are not set to "Print in Grayscale." Verify that the Color option is enabled in the print dialog box.
Inspect the Venting and Contacts on the Cartridge:
- Take out the blue ink (cyan) cartridge and check if the vent on top is blocked. You can clear it gently with a pin if there is any obstruction. Also, ensure that the contacts on both the cartridge and the carriage are clean.
Reset the Printer:
- A full power reset can sometimes resolve ink recognition issues. Unplug the printer while it is on, wait about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Outdated firmware might impact printer functionality. Check if there is a firmware update available in the HP Smart app or from the HP support website, and install it if needed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
