I have a HP 8028e printer. I installed all new ink cartridges (genuine HP) and now it's printing blue when it should be printing yellow. I've attached a screenshot of what it should look like and a test print page of my printer. You can see the colors are wrong. I'm suspecting a bad ink cartridge, but I don't think I can send them back to Walmart as defective. any ideas of a fix? I've done the "Clean Printheads" from Print and Scan Doctor.

@Stumann, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!
Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.
Based on the image, the yellow color is printing correctly, it appears as yellow and not blue. This suggests that the yellow ink cartridge is functioning properly and the issue may not be with the cartridge itself.
Here are some steps to help further troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check the Document or Image Source
- Ensure the original file or image you're printing has the correct color values.
- Sometimes, a color profile mismatch or incorrect color mode (e.g., CMYK vs RGB) can cause unexpected color output.
Print from a Different Application
- Try printing the same document from another app (e.g., Word, Adobe Reader, or even a browser).
- This helps rule out software-specific color rendering issues.
Update Printer Firmware
- Outdated firmware can cause color calibration issues.
- Visit the HP support page and download the latest firmware.
Check Color Settings in Printer Driver
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
- Under the Color tab, ensure:
- “Print in Grayscale” is unchecked.
- “Color Management” is set to Automatic.
Try a Printer Self-Test Page
- On the printer's control panel:
- Tap Settings > Reports > Print Quality Report.
- This will show how each color is printing directly from the printer, bypassing the computer.
Reinstall the Printer Driver
- Uninstall the printer from Devices and Printers.
- Reinstall using the full driver package from HP: Official HP® Support
