HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer

i have installed 4 original hp cartridges and it says " not design to use continuous ink system " I have tried everything to try and fix this problem. I even factory- reset my printer and it says the same message. Now my printer is off-line as it will not complete the set up process without working ink cartridges. These are 4 brand new hp original cartridge. 1 black xl and three regular colored. i just paid $129 US on amazon for them.

Hi @19-shack,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Clean the cartridge contacts

  • Turn the printer on.
  • Open the door to access to the cartridges.
  • Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.
  • Push in on the front of the cartridge indicated in the error message, and then remove it.

Animation of replacing the cartridges

  • Wipe the electrical contact on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth.

  • Insert the cartridge into its color-coded slot until it snaps into place.

  • Repeat these steps for any other cartridges indicated in the error message.
  • Close the cartridge access door.
