Hi @lyon4399,
The HP Deskjet 2545 printer is compatible with specific cartridges, and using incompatible cartridges can cause issues such as printing errors, low-quality prints, or damage to the printer.
Here are the compatible cartridges for the HP Deskjet 2545.
- HP 662 Black Ink Cartridge (Part number CZ103AL)
 - HP 662 Tri-color Ink Cartridge (Part number CZ104AL)
 - HP 662XL Black Ink Cartridge (Part number CZ105AL)
 - HP 662XL Tri-color Ink Cartridge (Part number CZ106AL)

If you're experiencing incompatibility issues with your cartridges, make sure you're using the correct ones listed above. You can also try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Remove the cartridge and reinsert it. Make sure it's seated correctly.
 - Clean the electrical contacts of the cartridge and the printer with a lint-free cloth.
 - Check if there are any protective tapes or covers on the cartridge that need to be removed before installation.
 - Reset the printer by turning it off and unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to replace the cartridge with a compatible one.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
