my daughter gave me her printer and she had instant ink service that she paid for, once she turned off her service my printer will no longer work with the cartridges they ship automatally with the program and monthly fee

i bought a single new black hp cartridge from walmart for hp printer of this series, still wont print, im thinking i have to replace all cartridges(color and all) furnished by hp before the printer will work.

the error on the printer says( must be registered with hp to print

Hi @donniesm4,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to use the instant ink cartridges.

As the instant ink service is canceled you will not be able to use the instant ink cartridges.

The OfficeJet pro 8600 is a four-cartridge printer and will not work with a single cartridge.

All four cartridges in the printer must be replaced with regular ink to continue printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
