Hi @TW8228, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2810e All-in-One Printer has a couple of issues:

Rattling Noise While Printing

  • Ensure all packing materials and protective tapes have been completely removed. Open the printer, check for any loose parts, and gently shake it (while powered off) to see if anything is inside.
  • Place the printer on a stable, flat surface to reduce vibrations.
  • If the rattling persists, there may be a mechanical issue, and you might need to contact HP support for a replacement if it’s brand new.

Faded Text on Prints After Installing New Cartridges

  • Check ink levels: Open HP Smart and check if any cartridge is low or empty.
  • Clean the printhead: Use the printer's built-in cleaning function via HP Smart or the printer's control panel.
  • Align the printhead: Go to HP Smart > Printer Settings > Print Quality Tools > Align Printhead.
  • Try different paper: Low-quality or damp paper can cause faded prints.
  • Reseat the cartridges: Remove them, clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth, and reinstall them properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
