HP Envy 4500
Microsoft Windows 11

We've had this printer for many years and has worked wonderfully.  Now there appears to be something wrong with the heads.  The first page prints unevenly with some lines incomplete and others perfectly fine.  Printing the same page a second or third time clears the problem and the page finally prints completely.  We cleaned the heads, thinking that was the issue, but the same thing happens the next time we turn on the printer--the first page prints unevenly with some lines incomplete and others perfectly fine.  We have to keep reprinting the page to get it to print completely.   Changing the print quality to "best" also solves the problem some of the time.   Is this issue fixable? or is it time to buy a new printer?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve lines not printing on your Envy 4500 printer.  Clean the electrical contacts on the printer and the cartridge as shown in Step 3 of the Type 1 cartridges.
