Hi @patelmanvir,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet 8012 is rejecting the new cartridges due to them containing non-HP chips. This can happen with cartridges from third-party vendors or if there’s an issue with the chip recognition.

Here are a few steps you can take.

  • Check Cartridge Authenticity: Verify that the cartridges you received are indeed HP genuine cartridges. Sometimes cartridges with third-party chips are mistakenly sent, or they may be counterfeit.
  • Clean the Cartridge Contacts: Turn off the printer, remove the cartridges, and gently clean the contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth. Reinsert the cartridges and try again.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues with new cartridges. You can usually update the firmware through the printer’s settings menu or the HP Smart app.
  • Reset the Printer: Try performing a factory reset on your printer. This can sometimes resolve issues with cartridge recognition.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
